Unobstructed by Tourists: Off-Season

I’m a sucker for budget travel and I’ve realized that if you travel off-season, you’re not only getting great airfare deals, but some fantastic boutique stays at unbelievable deals. I’m not sure if this was the brightest of ideas, but I decided that going to Egypt would be a fantastic idea in February of 2012. The protests on the streets had come to a halt, buildings alongside the Egyptian museum were burnt, street signs were destroyed, but it was off-season, tourists were fearful of travel, but my bold personality and fearlessness shined as I went from the Lower to Upper Nile in seven days, off-season.
