On The Way to the Hamaam

In response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “On the Way.”

The beauty of traveling in the country of Morocco is that during the journey within any of its medina (city) walls, one encounters many forms of mysticism through radiant scents and colors, especially when meandering in the spice souk (market). The destination at times becomes insignificant with all the beauty the journey holds.

This photo captures the stillness of the world, according to one man, who is in the business of selling spices. On my way to wash myself from the grime of the day, our worlds collided and I was able to bring that instant with me, permanently, which I was so fortunate to come across. In a matter of seconds this exact moment could have disappeared.
