In response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “Early Bird.”
I used to be very annoyed with the fact that I would wake up extremely early. The irritation of being up when it was dark out surpassed the tiredness I felt from sleeping a few hours less, which drained me even more. I still got my six hours. Why was I complaining? Recently, I made the decision to be happy with my wake up time, meditate during what is meant to be the peak hours from 4-6am, and go about my business.
I’ve been more productive than ever this way. More productive as I don’t waste my energy in negative thoughts of why I’m awake, but embracing the fact that I’m up and can accomplish so much in the quiet, undisturbed hours of the day.
That said, I wouldn’t have it any other way. I’m a proud early bird, even though I’m deeply terrified of birds.
Great capture and nice take on this challenge!
